Ms Dhoni: Captain Cool


Mahendra Singh Dhoni is an International Indian Cricketer who captained Indian national teams in limited formats between 2007 and 2016 as well as in Test Cricket between 2008 and 2014. He's the only Cricket captain to win all ICC trophies in the history. India has won the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007, the Asian Cup in 2010 and 2016, the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011 and the ICC Champions Trophy of 2013. As the right-wing batsman and winner of the medium-range race, Dhoni is amongst the highest ranked scorers of one-day internationals (ODIs) and scored over 10,000 runs.

Dhoni has a number of records as a captain, including the most Indian captain 's victories in the ODI and T20Is, and the most retrospective captain's Indians in the ODIs. In 2007 he took control of Raul Dravid's ODI Captaincy and led the team into their first-ever ODI bi-lateral win in Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Dhoni became the first captain to win all three ICC-limited over trophies (WorldCup, Champions Trophy and the World Twenty20) in June 2013 when India defeated England in the Champion Trophy finals in Britain.

In 2013 India became the first team to whitewash Australia in a test-series in over 40 years under its leadership. He won in the Indian Premier League and in 2010 and 2014 won the Chennai Super Kings for the Champions League Twenty20 in 2010, 2011, and 2018 seasons. In 2011 Time magazine has included Dhoni as one of the most influential people in the world in its annual Time 100 list. After resigning from Air India, Dhoni holds the post of Vice President of India Cements Ltd. India Cements is the owner of the Super Kings IPL Team and, since the first IPL season, Dhoni is its captain. On 30 December 2014, he announced his retirement from the tests.
