Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is an Indian former cricket player and a National Team captain. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. He is the world's highest run-scorer. Tendulkar took cricket when he was eleven, made his test debut at the age of sixteen on 15 November 1989 in Karachi in Pakistan, and represented Mumbai domestically and India for almost twenty-four years internationally. The 2008 season of the Indian Premier League marked the beginning of the Indian Premier League which was set up by the BCCI in 2007. The season began with the final match of 1 June 2008 on 18 April 2008.
